Arrival guide

Arriving in Positano

Positano is built on a steep cliff with a single one-way road looping through the village. Below that road, the lanes down to the beach are pedestrian, so the right drop-off point depends on where your hotel is.

  • Hotels on the main road: we stop right at the entrance.
  • Hotels in the lower village or near the beach: we stop at the closest point a car can reach, and your hotel can send a porter for your bags.
  • Villas reached by steps: tell us your address when booking and we check the best meeting point.
  • Summer weekends are the busiest time on the coast road: an earlier departure from Rome saves time.
