Arriving in Amalfi by car
The historic centre of Amalfi is closed to traffic, so the car stops on the seafront by the harbour. Hotels on the seafront or on the coast road are reached directly; for hotels inside the pedestrian centre we help with your bags, and many hotels send a porter. If you are staying above the town in Pogerola, or next door in Atrani, send us the address and we plan the drop-off.
From Naples the drive takes 1.5 to 2 hours without stops. You can break it with a visit to Pompeii or Herculaneum, both close to the motorway, or ask for a short stop in Sorrento. At Naples Airport your driver waits in the arrivals hall with a name sign; at Napoli Centrale, outside platform 24.
