Amalfi's historic centre, around Piazza Duomo and the Cathedral of Sant'Andrea, is closed to traffic. Cars stop on the seafront by the harbour, a few minutes' walk from the cathedral steps.

The drive takes about 3.5 to 4.5 hours on the A1 and A3 motorways and then the Amalfi Coast road, depending on traffic, season and your pick-up point in Rome (Fiumicino, Ciampino, Termini or your hotel).

How much is a private car from Rome to Amalfi?

Rates are fixed per vehicle: Mercedes E-Class (1–2 passengers) €650 by day and €670 at night; Mercedes V-Class (up to 7 passengers) €650 by day and €680 at night; Mercedes Sprinter (up to 16 passengers) €900 by day and €950 at night. Fuel, tolls, parking and VAT are included.

Can you drive into the centre of Amalfi?

The historic centre around Piazza Duomo is closed to traffic. We stop on the seafront by the harbour, a few minutes' walk from the cathedral, and help with your bags; hotels on the seafront or the coast road are reached directly.

Can we catch a ferry from Amalfi to Capri or Positano?

Yes. Ferries leave from Amalfi harbour to Positano, Capri and Salerno, mostly in the warmer months and depending on the sea. We can drop you at the harbour if you are continuing by boat.

Can we visit Ravello on the way to Amalfi?

Yes. Ravello is a short drive up the hill from Amalfi, so a stop before check-in is easy to add on request. Tell us when booking so we can plan the time.

Do you also cover Atrani and Pogerola?

Yes. Atrani is next to Amalfi and Pogerola is just above the town; the price is the same as for Amalfi. Send us the address so we can check the drop-off point.
