Villa Rufolo
Terraced gardens and a medieval tower above the sea. Richard Wagner visited in 1880, and the gardens are linked to his opera Parsifal. The villa's belvedere also hosts the stage of the Ravello Festival.

A walk through the gardens of Villa Cimbrone ends at the Terrazza dell'Infinito, a balcony of marble busts over one of the widest views on the coast.

The cathedral square is the heart of the pedestrian centre. In summer, the Ravello Festival brings classical and jazz concerts to the town, many of them in the open air above the sea.

There are two ways up to Ravello from the motorway. Our drivers choose on the day, depending on traffic and the season.
Mountain road
Over the Chiunzi pass
From the motorway through the Lattari mountains and down into Ravello from above. It often avoids the busiest stretch of the coast road in summer.
Coast road
Via Amalfi
Along the Amalfi Coast road, then up the winding road from the coast to Ravello. Slower, but with the classic sea views.
The historic centre around Piazza Duomo is pedestrian: we stop at the edge of the centre, a short walk from the square, and help with your bags.
Many hotels and villas have their own access or porters: send us the name when booking and we plan the exact drop-off.
Both roads have many bends. If you are prone to car sickness, ask for a front seat and tell your driver: we can stop for a break.
